Worked extensively with sewer design, construction, and maintenance, both as consultant with engineering firm in Toledo, OH and in employment of City of Lafayette, IN, Wastewater Dept.
Directed the Industrial Pretreatment and Sludge Disposal Programs for the City of Lafayette and assisted in operational supervision of their 16 MGD wastewater plant.
Served as Environmental Engineer for AE Staley in Lafayette, supervising their 1.5 MGD activated sludge pretreatment plant, overseeing their sludge disposal and NPDES programs, along with all other environmental issues of major manufacturing operation, such as air quality, hazardous waste disposal, SARA Title II reporting, etc., and including involvement in construction, startup and operation of $2.6 MM anaerobic plant expansion.
Served as Engineer on staff of an engineering firm in Minneapolis, MN, involved in lake management, asbestos removal, groundwater remediation, and landfill closure. He has also worked with on-site systems and research projects, such as investigations into degradability of priority pollutants, and investigations into alternative treatment system designs.
